Morocco went through a tough 120-minute duel to beat Spain in a penalty shootout with a landslide score of 3-0. The duel for the last 16 of the 2022 World Cup , Tuesday (6/12/2022), went beyond expectations.

Playing at the Education City Stadium, Morocco appeared tough to win a ticket to the quarter-finals from Spain. Hakim Ziyech et al. dramatic victory in the penalty shootout.

As predicted, Morocco appeared tough to make it difficult for Spain. Even the first 45 minutes of Morocco looked more dangerous than La Roja.

Spain came back in the second half, but no goals until the 90th minute ended. The game was even locked without a goal until 120 minutes had passed.

Continuing into the penalty shootout, Yassine Bounou, the Moroccan goalkeeper, appeared extraordinary by brushing off three of the opponent's penalties. Morocco won a landslide victory 3-0 and has the right to advance to the quarter-finals.

First round

The match started immediately at a high tempo. Spain struggled to control the ball. Morocco applies a high-pressure line with an aggressive playing style.
