England vs Senegal 2022 World Cup Results: Score 3-0
England succeeded in defeating Senegal with a convincing score of 3-0 in the round of 16 match for the 2022 World Cup which was held at Al Bayt Stadium, Monday (5/12/2022) early morning WIB.
Jordan Henderson and Harry Kane scored three goals for England's victory over Senegal in the first half and Bukayo Saka in the second half of the game.
Thanks to this result, England is certain to qualify for the quarter-finals to challenge France, again at the Al Bayt Stadium on Sunday (11/12/2022) in the morning WIB.
First round
The match went relatively slow in the first 10 minutes. England dominated possession more, but there were still not many dangerous threats shown by Gareth Southgate's team.
Harry Maguire's pass error gave Senegal a pretty good chance in the 23rd minute, unfortunately Ismaila Sarr's finish still bounced over the bar.
England finally succeeded in opening the scoring in the 38th minute through Henderson's goal to continue Jude Bellingham's assist. At 32 years old, Henderson is England's second oldest goalscorer at a World Cup.
England managed to double their lead through Kane's goal in the third minute of first-half injury time. This is Kane's first goal at the 2022 World Cup this time.
Second round
Back from the locker room, Senegal coach Aliou Cisse immediately made three substitutions at once. Senegal certainly hopes to catch up with two goals in the second half.
Instead of reducing the lag, Senegal even slumped after Saka scored a goal in the 57th minute. Again Foden acted as provider, after he also did so in Kane's goal.
Senegal tried to find consolation goals in the remaining matches, but no additional goals were created until the long whistle sounded. The 3-0 score for England's victory was the final result of this fight.
